There will be 20,000 nonresident combination archery deer permits available, each consisting of one either-sex permit and one antlerless-only permit. The fee for the nonresident combination archery deer permit will be $325.00 plus a processing fee of $2.50 plus 2.5% of the total sale.
Applicants may apply during the period June 15th through July 31st via the internet or telephone for this year's lottery. Clients of outfitters licensed by the Department of Natural Resources will be given preference in the lottery for the first 7,500 permits issues. Permits will be allocated using a computerized, random lottery drawing conducted after July 31. Applicants may submit only one application for the nonresident combination archery deer permit. Permits allocated to clients of outfitters (from the first 7,500) are only valid on the property controlled by that outfitter.
In addition to these 20, 000 combination permits, an unlimited number of anterless-only archery deer permits will be available to any nonresident for $25.00. These antlerless-only permits will be available at any of the 1200 Illinois Department of Natural Resources license agents. Nonresident deer hunters are required to possess a valid Illinois Nonresident Hunting License ($50.75 annual or $28.75 5-day) and Habitat Stamp ($5.50) in addition to their deer permit (unless exempt). These items may be purchased at the time of application (via phone or internet), or from license agents upon arrival in Illinois.
